The Digital Media Specialist role within our Integrated Media team will oversee the strategy and execution of digital campaigns across our portfolio of clients. As a digital media specialist, this person will be responsible for developing and demonstrating expertise in an array of advertising strategies utilizing tech-based buying and optimization tools to positively affect our client’s ROAS across search, display, social and video. This role will be focused exclusively on programmatic and platform buying, and this individual will interface with Analytics, Media Operations, Media Specialists and Account Service as well as vendor partners to deliver measurable results. Efforts include, but are not limited to, strategic planning, tactical recommendations, establishing benchmarks and KPI’s, building, launching and monitoring campaigns for success, as well as providing reporting and insights. This is an individual who welcomes new challenges, proactively identifies solutions and has the desire to grow and lead within this practice area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and juggle multiple tasks within set deadlines

• Acts in various capacities across strategy and planning, providing recommendations and executing, optimizing and reporting for client media campaigns

• Manage campaigns across programmatic mobile, display, paid search, paid social, video, OTT, CTV, and audio

• Create and actively manage and optimize programmatic campaigns in DSPs and Paid Social platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, The Trade Desk, etc.

• Identifies and negotiates cost-effective, scalable and targeted media agreements that will provide qualified and quantifiable results for clients

• Experience with keyword research, paid search bid optimizations and writing effective ad copy

• Proven track record of developing and executing test and learn strategies

• Initiate RFPs, organize and negotiate proposed elements from media vendors; writes plans and 2 presentations

• Writes clear and concise rationale for each plan with supporting documentation as needed

• Provides general media consulting services to agency staff and clients

• Continually monitor campaign performance and optimize based on set goals

• Interprets campaign results and communicates the effectiveness of campaigns to clients

• Oversees campaign reconciliation, post-buy analysis, client reporting and billing

• Integrates emerging digital trends by establishing educational opportunities on the latest techniques, trends, vendors and other options

• Ensures the quality and timeliness of all media deliverables with a keen sense of urgency

• Extremely organized and has impeccable attention to detail

• Be consistently curious and inquisitive – learn how platforms work, and more importantly, learn how to maximize them

• Maintain and stay current on industry news and research as it relates to current and potential partners

• Personal drive to train, certify and become proficient in all new platforms as opportunities arise CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

• Exhibits strong verbal presentation skills and high professional composure

• Possesses strong research, analytical, mathematical and negotiating skills

• Demonstrates collaborative attitude and communicates proactively with colleagues

• Knowledge of and familiarity with DSP’s, media platforms, Nielsen NetRatings and similar agency and media research programs and tools

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following DSPs: Google DoubleClick Bid Manager, TheTradeDesk, DataXu, Amazon Advertising Platform, Adobe/TubeMogul, and Basis by Centro

• Experience in SBMS or Advantage Media a plus

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs

• National media planning and buying experience across multiple sectors

• 3-5 years of experience in media buying and planning

• Experience in planning/buying both Traditional and Digital media types

• Digital platform certifications a plus
