Thanks For The Memories
I’m sure that you, like most of the membership, are reading this, my final letter as AAF-Cleveland president, through eyes clouded with tears. I ask that you be strong and show Mike Peterson the same (if not more) support you’ve shown me over the last year.
I owe a great deal of thanks to a large number of people. First, thanks to everyone at Liggett Stashower for allowing me the flexibility to fulfill my presidential duties. I know I’m biased, but it’s a great place to work. Thanks to my board. We’ve accomplished a lot this year and hopefully you enjoyed the ride as much as I did. We all owe a great deal of gratitude to our AAFCleveland Office Manager Jenny Chalk. She’s been simply amazing in the role and continues to make our organization shine.
Finally, I can’t possibly thank Rick Squire enough for all he’s done in his tenure with our club. Personally, I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Rick – and I’m sure I’m not alone with that sentiment. Rick’s enthusiasm for our organization and industry has inspired many during his 14 years with AAF-Cleveland. He’s been a mentor, an advisor and a friend. His absence will be felt as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement..
That said, now is the time that we all need to pitch in to help our club through this transition. I have the greatest confidence that our leadership and volunteers will ensure that AAF-Cleveland will continue to thrive.
Thanks,
Mark Szczepanik
