Full Job Description
Marcus Thomas, an integrated marketing communications agency, seeks an exceptionally talented Assistant Research Specialist. This professional has the ability to compile and analyze key research and data. This key role on our Strategic Services team aids in inspiring us to launch creative and successful campaigns.

Provide timely and accurate responses to requests for information – figuring out that such requests are researchable by seeking sufficient background information
Conduct secondary searches for clients and new business prospects using various syndicated research tools (e.g., Simmons, Mintel, Crimson Hexagon, Kantar, etc.); summarize insights
Learn and apply new tools for secondary research
Assist in preparing and conducting online survey programming and testing
Help prepare research project specifications
Assist in writing recruitment screeners, surveys, interview guides, etc.
Assist with data cleaning/validation and data analysis, including running cross-tabulations
Assist with development of research reports, including coding of open-ended responses and visualizing data in graphical formats
Work with a variety of external research suppliers’ for both qualitative and quantitative studies (e.g., acquiring estimates based on project requirements and budget, field monitoring, etc.)
Perform special projects to support the research and planning disciplines as necessary

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in the social sciences, psychology, business, marketing, advertising, communications or other related fields; plus one to two years of related experience and/or formal training. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of related experience and/or formal training may be accepted.
Statistical analysis experience with SPSS and/or Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
