Marcus Thomas, an integrated marketing communications agency, is calling all local and nonlocal paid search pros to apply to be our next talented Paid Search Manager! We are looking for someone with extensive search and digital marketing experience to “make a mark” with our agency and clients.

This successful self-starter will ideate and deliver paid search strategies. They will also provide complete management of paid search campaigns against defined success metrics and measurable ROI. Planning and developing keyword lists, ad messaging and conducting performance analyses are also functions/components of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum completion of a BA/BS degree; marketing or communications
Certification: Google AdWords
Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Search Engine Marketing; some Digital Marketing preferred

Requirements
An in-depth understanding of marketing forecasting, search planning, implementation and performance analysis.
Minimum of two years of direct paid search experience.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of paid search bid management and tactical optimization to exceed goals.
Experience with Google Analytics and/or other third-party analytics programs.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of both Google and Bing user interfaces and associated offline editor software.
Experience with Google Shopping feeds and product ads is preferred but not required.
A self-starter with efficient time management and strong problem-solving skills.
Financial acumen with regard to budgeting, projections and revenue metrics.
Strong understanding of how paid and organic search work together.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; commercially oriented; confident; outgoing, articulate; persuasive, along with a strong work ethic.
Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience collaborating with a large account team working on multimedia channels.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
Oversee the development of paid search program strategies and analyses for clients (e.g., non-brand efficiencies, day-parting, week-parting, media mix, the value of paid search customer, etc.).
Provide a thorough analysis of paid search campaigns via bid management and reporting tools.
Lead junior search marketing staff with a focus on the development and education of associates.
Execute competitive research utilizing comprehensive tool sets.
Support client services and provide direction to teams.
Support new business development and contribute to PowerPoint presentations as needed.
Manage and meet internal and external client expectations, as well as deliverables and deadlines.
Execute best practice strategies and methodologies to maximize agency search marketing programs.
Identify additional search channels and tactics that assist in achieving client marketing objectives.
Stay current with all search industry developments and best practices.
Provide point-of-view (POV) summaries for industry topics; maintain best practices on new online marketing opportunities around paid search topics; and stay current on industry trends, including ways to leverage trends against client and agency objectives.
Work closely with other subject matter experts within core digital channels, including social media, digital marketing, offline media, analytics, and web development.
Identify opportunities in the market to solidify and expand client visibility and profitability by translating client business goals into successful search engine strategies.
