Contempo Communications Names Media Coordinator Contempo Communications has named Lisa Catalano its first-ever media coordinator. She is responsible for the distribution and circulation of CBC Magazine while also handling ad traffiking, sales support and event coordination. Catalano, a graduate of John Carroll Univeristy, spent two years at Northern Ohio Live as the circulation director and ad traffic manager. Most recently, Catalano served as an executive assistant with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
hfa's Team Grows With The Addition Of Three Associates Eric Houser joins hfa as an Interactive Project Manager. In this position, Houser manages multiple online initiatives that drive user experiences. He has previous experience at Sears Holding Corp. and Electronic Arts Inc. His experience includes full-cycle development and global release of mobile video games, game tool customization, digital/print collateral and website development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Skidmore College.
Camille Sciria returns to hfa as a copywriter. Her past experience includes and internship at hfa followed by nearly two years at Rosenberg Advertising. Sciria's day-to-day responsibilities include developing strategic, creative concepts and crafting written messages that help brands engage consumers. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in journalism.
Andrea Teodosio joins hfa as a research and strategy development assistant. A former hfa intern, Teodosio works closely with hfa's social media team to implement strategic social media tactics. Teodosio graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in marketing.
Falls Communications Promotes Allanson Jennifer Allanson, APR, has been promoted to senior vice president of Falls Communications, a Cleveland-based, full service communications firm. President and CEO Robert F. Falls made the announcement. Since joining Falls Communications in 1994, Allanson has been a strong team player with skills in national media relations, writing and event planning. She currenly leads the Moen Inc. account striving to ensure visibility and national brand-name awareness for the number one faucet brand in North America. Prior to her work with Moen, Allanson has worked hand-in-hand with the PR and marketing teams at companies including The HON Company, Allsteel, Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes Corp., The Home Depot, GE Lighting and more.
Marilyn Chase of Liggett Honored Liggett's Chief Brand Management Officer Marilyn Chase, has been honored by Crain's Cleveland Business as one of their 2010 Women of Note. Since Marilyn joined LS in 1987, she's directed some of the agency's largest B2B and consumer accounts. Congratulations Marilyn!
hfa Promotes Phiffner To Associate Creative Director hfa has promoted Greg Phiffner to Associate Creative Director. Throughout a 12-year career at hfa, Greg has displayed exemplary leadership and creative skills while overseeing successful marketing campaigns for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Dunlop Tires, Choice Hotels International, Simonton Windows, Akron Genral Hospital and the City of Akron. Phiffner is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. His team's work has garnered numerous ADDY Awards, Telly Awards and other industry recognition.
Melamed Riley Advertising Adds Two To The Team And Promotes A Third Melamed Riley Advertising has hired Rachel Coristin as an Associate Account Executive. In this rol, she will support client services, help manage new business efforts and further expand the agency's capabilities in social media. Coristin graduated from The University of Akron with a major in E-Marketing and Advertising and a minor in International Business.
Patrick Bensi was recently hired as a Copywriter. Bensi will take on creative responsibilities for a number of the agency's accounts including FMC Corporation, Vitamix and Shoes and Cloths for Kids. Bensi is a recent graduate of Kent State University, gradutaing with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. He was also a member of The Tannery, a student-run integrated marketing communications agency.
Kathleen Roy has been promoted to Account Executive. In her new position, Roy will have more direct interface with key clients and take on expanded responsibilities within the agency. She joined Melamed Riley as an intern and was hired as an Associate Account Executive upon graduation from Kent State University where she majored in Journalism.

Eight new staff members join agency. Marcus Thomas LLC has hired a director of connections, planning and media, as well as seven other professionals in the creative, interactive, production and account services departments. Jody Sadler joins Marcus Thomas LLC as director of connections, planning and media. Sadler comes to Marcus with over 17 years of experience and most recently at Liggett Stashower where she spent 2 years as media director. She previously worked at Doner in Michigan. Other new hires include James Gough, associate creative director, Justin Weese, studio artist, Leigh Ring, interactive designer, Kristina Marshall, junior integrated producer, Glenda Terrell, account supervisor, Lindsey Cohen, account executive, and Rachel Wilkins, assistant account executive who was the 100th hire.
New Associate's Strengthen hfa's Marketing Team
Adds a team leader/account supervisor and media buyer/planner. Jason Kelly has joined hfa's account service team as a team leader/account supervisor. His previous experience includes the creation and activation of marketing plans for clients such as Chevrolet, Chrysler, the Olympic Winter Games, Michelin Tires and many others. Kelly's responsibilities include the supervision of development, implementation and measurement of client marketing and communication plans as well as leadership, direction and support to the account service team. His past employers include Campbell-Ewald and BBDO Detroit and holds a marketing degree from Wayne State University.
Amy Weiser joins hfa as a media buyer/planner. Her responsibilities include full-scale media planning, research, reporting, presenting and buying. Her past employers include TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications and Jaeger Advertising and she holds a B.A. in advertising/marketing from Baldwin Wallace College and an associate's degree in photography from Lakeland College.
